Lisa's Testimony: I messed up so bad as a teen, hung out with the wrong crowd, experimented with drugs, had premarital sex, and even ran away from home. So, I ran to all the wrong things in life. But at 17, when I accepted Jesus, my life took a 90 degree turn. For once I knew what real life was. So, as a mother, my heart's desire was always to be close to my kids, and be my daughters best friend. I remember crying when she started growing up, praying that she wouldn't be like me, and that God would allow us to be close. God not only answered my prayer, he gave me the sweetest, dearest best friend I could ever ask for. Melissa has been a godsend. We've walked together every day since she was little, we've only had a couple little spats, and today we want to take our message of hope, love, and life to other mothers and daughters all over the world by sharing our testimony of how God kept us close.

Melissa's Testimony: I grew up in a Christian family. I had some friends, but me and my mom always talked about everything. And since she went through so much stuff growing up, I knew there wasn't anything I couldn't tell her. She never flipped out or thought I was stupid, she really listened, really cared, and helped me through each and every stage. My friends were always fighting with their moms and would tell me how lucky I was--I'm not lucky, I'm blessed. But I know that God can do this in other teens lives too. So I just hope that my mom and I can go all over and share the awesome gift of love and life he's brought to us.
